Our Story
We started as a print company in
1971
Our founder, Maurice C. Woods, was determined to do things differently in the print world. With his experience as a press operator and overall entrepreneurial outlook on life, he and his wife, Emma Lou, took a leap of faith and started Woods Printing Company in their basement in 1971. As the print industry changed, David Springston (Maurice’s son-in-law) would take the helm and lead the company into the world of color printing. The second generation of ownership saw new growth in these processes and new technology to aid in printing more efficiently.
2016 saw the third generation join the company fold. Devin Springston (Maurice’s granddaughter) now leads the company and continues to push creativity in all aspects of the business. Rebranding in 2020, Woods Printing became Branded by Woods to encompass all the company was now offering. It is now so much more than just ink on paper, but the passion for print has never wavered. The third generation has reimagined the legacy of Woods by transforming it into a dynamic creative company, blending the innovation of digital offset printing with tradition to redefine the brand’s impact.

The creation of Mo
Mo was created to share our fun attitude on life, but has become so much more. Maurice C Woods (the real Mo) was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest. We believe that our monkey, Mo, encompasses his zest for life, overall goofiness and ability to have strength through challenges. Mo reminds us to never take ourselves too seriously and always strive to be exceptional!
